Metamorphic Construction Material

I don’t have many metamorphic rocks laying around my house. My counter-tops are made of Formica, which is just laminated composite material designed to look like metamorphic rock. It doesn’t really look good compared to this! This picture is of Gneiss. Gneiss is sometimes used as counter material, as it it a hard material and it looks pretty good! Gneiss is high-metamorphosized shale, granite, or volcanic rocks.
