Plate Tectonics in the News

This week, a 3.3 magnitude earthquake hit near Park City, UT and another small earthquake hit near Huntsville, UT. I was at work in Salt Lake City when the Park City was hit and must have been too preoccupied to notice the slight tremor that apparently could have been felt. Several coworkers told me that they felt it ever slightly. This is a direct reflection of plate tectonic activity that is occurring locally along the Wasatch fault zone.
